The Jacques Brel Cultural and Social Center offers a 20-week volunteer opportunity, starting September 1, 2025, and ending September 1, 2026. This initiative, part of the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) programs, aims to empower youth and develop their skills while contributing to community service.
Nature of Tasks and Responsibilities in Volunteering in France
As a volunteer in this project, you’ll become an integral part of the center’s daily activities, which primarily focus on children. You’ll have the opportunity to share your digital media expertise through:
Creating Media Content: You’ll produce posts, videos, and visual stories (reels) that reflect the organization’s message and values.
Organizing Workshops: You’ll design and deliver educational workshops for children in various fields including photography, video production, and other digital tools.
Community Participation: You’ll help promote the association’s activities during festivals and local gatherings while sharing your experience and culture with the local community.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The association seeks volunteers with the following qualities and skills:
Age Requirements: Applicants must be between 18 and 30 years old.
Personal Skills: Social and patient personality with the ability to interact positively with children.
Creative Abilities: Passion for creativity and effective social media usage skills.
Language Skills: Willingness to learn or improve French, as it’s the primary communication language for the project.

Fully Equipped Accommodation: Volunteers will stay in a shared apartment located just 500 meters from the organization’s headquarters. The apartment features two bedrooms (private room for each volunteer), bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, and living room.

Youthpass Certification: Upon completion of the volunteer period, you’ll receive a “Youthpass” certificate – a European recognition tool that documents and validates the non-formal learning acquired during your experience.
