Vocational Training Program Details
This training program spans three years and is scheduled to begin on September 1, 2026. The program combines theoretical and practical components to ensure apprentices acquire all necessary skills to excel in the bakery and confectionery sector.
- Theoretical Training: Apprentices receive theoretical instruction at a vocational school for one to two days per week or during specified periods.
- Practical Training: Acquired knowledge is applied practically and directly within partner German companies and bakeries.
- Salary: The training is fully paid according to regulations and laws in effect in Germany.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Apprentices will be responsible for a diverse range of tasks that form the foundation of the baker’s craft, including:
- Preparing and making dough for various types of bread, cakes, and pastries.
- Accurately measuring and mixing ingredients according to approved recipes.
- Supervising fermentation and baking processes to ensure product quality.
- Learning and mastering recipes for preparing pastries, creams, and diverse fillings (sweet and savory).
- Applying finishing touches and decoration to cakes and pies.
Application Requirements and Eligibility
To qualify for this opportunity, candidates must meet the following conditions:
- Nationality: Candidate must be registered with ANAPEC.
- Age: Between 18 and 25 years old as of October 15, 2025.
- Educational Level: High school diploma (Baccalaureate) holder or equivalent level (Science Baccalaureate is considered an additional advantage).
- Experience: Professional experience of at least 6 months in the field (work or internship), or a training certificate in baking, pastries, or chocolate.
- Language: Minimum A2 level in German.
- Personal Skills: Flexibility, honesty, openness, and ability to adapt to work requirements (variable working hours, night shifts).
