Volunteering in Spain 2026: Digital Awareness Campaign Against Disinformation in Madrid
Are you looking for a fully funded volunteering opportunity in Europe that allows you to make a real difference? The European Solidarity Corps offers a unique chance for young people to participate in a digital awareness campaign against disinformation in Madrid, Spain.

This initiative, organized by “Alianza por la Solidaridad-Action Aid Spain,” invites 10 volunteers to join an international team for two months, aiming to promote critical thinking, accurate information, and human rights in the digital space.
About the Project: Digital Awareness Campaign
This project aims to address the phenomenon of disinformation in digital environments, both nationally and across Europe. Volunteers will participate in designing and implementing a digital awareness campaign to raise awareness about the dangers of misinformation and how to distinguish between correct and false information. This experience will be a valuable opportunity to acquire practical skills in digital communication and social work.
Training and Acquired Skills
Volunteers will receive comprehensive training covering several key aspects, including:
- Concept of “Disinformation in Digital Contexts”: A deep understanding of the concept and its implications, both theoretically and practically.
- Design and Implementation of Campaigns and Social Actions: Learning how to plan and execute effective awareness campaigns.
- Creation of Communication Materials: Developing skills in producing engaging and impactful digital content.
By the end of the experience, volunteers will have gained an understanding of how NGOs operate, the ability to design social awareness campaigns from planning to evaluation, and will become key actors in addressing disinformation in digital contexts.
Accommodation, Food, and Transport
Shared accommodation will be provided for volunteers in an apartment in the center of Madrid, with covered accommodation costs and utility bills, in addition to free Wi-Fi. Each volunteer will receive a monthly pocket money of 180€, 200€ for food, and a local transport allowance. Health insurance (Henner) will also be provided for all participants.
Additional Training and Language Support
In addition to project-related training, volunteers will receive welcome training on Alianza por la Solidaridad and the European Solidarity Corps, the responsibilities of the organization and volunteers, Youthpass, Henner insurance, motivations, and cultural immersion. Specific training will be provided on due diligence and human rights, awareness campaigns, and communication tools. If language support is needed, volunteers will have free access to online language training (OLS).
Required Participant Profile
The organization is looking for friendly, curious, and committed individuals with a passion for meeting new people, socializing, and experiencing a different culture. Motivation to work in a team in a multicultural environment and to strengthen values such as solidarity is essential. Interest in environmental protection, human rights, poverty eradication, and sustainability is considered an added advantage. Individuals who enjoy creating content, self-recording, or actively using social media are also welcome. Good knowledge of Spanish will be an added value.
This opportunity is open to everyone, including migrants, residents of rural areas, those with limited financial support, or any other circumstances.
