Postgraduate Studies for Coaches and Physical Education Teachers
As part of the foreign cultural and educational policy of the Federal Republic of Germany, the Faculty of Sport Science at Leipzig University offers a multi-month postgraduate study program for coaches and physical education teachers from developing countries (according to the OECD DAC list) in alternating specializations and foreign languages.
For Participants (up to 40 years old) with:
- Completed higher education in the field of sports
- Experience as active athletes and as coaches or physical education teachers
- Good physical and mental resilience
Course Content:
- Specialization (Theory and Practice)
- General Training and Movement Science
- Basics of Sports Medicine
- Sports Didactics
- Project Management
- Introduction to Strength Training
- Inclusion in Sports
Funding:
- The postgraduate study program is funded by the Federal Foreign Office of the Federal Republic of Germany and the Saxon State Ministry for Science, Culture and Tourism (SMWK).
