Hungary Scholarships for Moroccan Students 2026–2027: Eligibility, Requirements & How to Apply

Hungary offers Moroccan students up to 165 scholarships for the 2026-2027 academic year, covering a wide range of disciplines taught in Hungarian or English (some disciplines are also available in French or German), at the following university levels:

Available Academic Levels:

Bachelor (Licence)

Master

Undivided Master (Master non divisible) also known as “One Tier-Master – OTM”, lasting 5 to 6 years, accessible to students with a baccalaureate or higher, wishing to pursue studies in General Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Veterinary Medicine, Architecture, etc.

Doctorate (PhD)

Admission Requirements

  • Be between 18 and 31 years old by August 31, 2026
  • Have the required diploma for the desired study level
  • Meet the linguistic requirements demanded by the chosen host institution

Application Procedure

You are invited to submit two applications: first an application to the Hungarian side, then an application to the Moroccan side, as explained below:

1. Application to the Hungarian Side

Submit your application directly online through the Stipendium Hungaricum platform (https://apply.stipendiumhungaricum.hu/), accompanied by the required documents (scanned in clear and readable PDF format):

Required Documents:

  • Letter of motivation written in the language of the desired study program (minimum 1 page, typed in Times New Roman, size 12)
  • Certificate/attestation proving your level of proficiency in the language of the chosen study program (if the training is not delivered in Hungarian) according to the minimum level determined by the host institution. Candidates who do not have a language certificate can apply on the condition of attaching a signed declaration indicating that they will obtain and upload the missing document to their online registration accounts before August 1, 2026
  • Copies of obtained diplomas. Future diploma holders must provide certificates of success for the current academic year and attach a signed declaration indicating that they will obtain and upload the missing document to their online registration accounts before August 1, 2026
  • Copies of transcripts (Baccalaureate transcript for Bachelor’s and all transcripts of higher education studies for Master’s and Doctorate)
  • Copy of passport. In the absence of one, candidates can provide a copy of the national ID card and a signed declaration indicating that they will obtain and upload the missing document to their online registration accounts before August 1, 2026

Additional Documents for Doctorate (in addition to the above documents):

  • Letter from a Hungarian professor confirming their agreement to supervise your research work, if this document is required by the chosen University (Candidates who do not have this document can apply on the condition of attaching a signed declaration indicating that they will obtain it and upload it to their online registration accounts before March 15, 2026)
  • Research plan written in the language of the chosen study program (at least 2 pages, typed in Times New Roman, size 12)
  • One (1) letter of recommendation written in the language of the chosen study program

Additional Documents for Candidates to Artistic and Musical Studies (in addition to the above documents):

  • Portfolio: the type and number of works to submit, as well as the required formats (photos, audio, video, etc.), are determined by the host University.

Application Deadline on Stipendium Hungaricum Platform: January 15, 2026

Important Notes:

  • All required documents must be accompanied by an English translation certified by a sworn translator. Documents that do not require translation if they are prepared directly in English by your educational institution (high school, faculty, etc.) or if the study program chosen in Hungary is delivered in French.
  • Each candidate has the right to choose two different study programs, and must rank them in order of preference.

2. Application to the Moroccan Side

After completing your application on the Hungarian platform (Stipendium Hungaricum), you must confirm your application with the Directorate of Cooperation and Partnership.

The application link for the Moroccan side will be available during the week of January 19 to 23, 2026 (after the closure of applications on the Stipendium Hungaricum platform), and a notice will be published to notify you of the steps to follow.
