What is the “Ravenna International” Project?
The “Ravenna International” project aims to create a multicultural environment in Ravenna by uniting European and local volunteers. The primary goal of the project is to celebrate diversity, foster mutual understanding, weave a rich tapestry of cultures, and promote values of tolerance and peace within the vibrant city. The project starts at the end of April and lasts for six months, allowing volunteers to fully immerse themselves in the local community and actively contribute to its activities.
Main Activities and Learning Opportunities
Volunteers will engage in a wide range of activities aimed at supporting youth and the local community in Ravenna. These activities include:
- Supporting Informagiovani Ravenna: Assisting in planning and facilitating youth-oriented activities.
- Workshops and Training: Participating in workshops in schools and with young people, as well as specialized training workshops.
- Event Organization: Helping to organize youth activities within the “Europe Next” program.
- Podcasting: Contributing to the “Poddare” project to promote podcasts.
- Youth Centers: Providing support in youth centers in Lido Adriano and “QB” in Ravenna.
- Communication and Opportunities: Promoting communication about European Solidarity Corps (ESC) opportunities, E+ programs, and other youth opportunities.
- Personal Projects: With the support of the host organization, volunteers will develop and implement a personal project (e.g., organizing an event or a training course).
- Italian Language Learning: An opportunity to learn the Italian language and disseminate information about the Erasmus+ program.
These activities contribute to the personal and professional development of volunteers, providing them with practical learning experience in an international environment.
Life in Ravenna: Accommodation, Support, and City Highlights
Accommodation and Financial Support
Comfortable accommodation will be provided for volunteers in a fully furnished apartment in the city center of Ravenna, shared with another volunteer. The apartment includes a shared kitchen, bathroom, and living room. All utility bills are covered. Additionally, volunteers will receive monthly financial support of 330 Euros, which covers food expenses and personal allowance.
