Double Master’s Program 2026 Between Chouaib Doukkali University and ISCAP – Polytechnic of Porto

The Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences-Chouaïb Doukkali University of El-Jadida (Morocco) and ISCAP-Polytechnic of Porto (Portugal) announce the call for applications for the double degree program between the Master’s in Cross-Cultural Communication and Visual Media (FLHS-El Jadida) and the Master’s in Intercultural Studies for Business (ISCAP-Porto).

This double degree program aims to strengthen students’ intercultural competence by developing critical awareness of cultural diversity and the skills needed to operate in multilingual and multicultural environments. The program also seeks to reinforce students’ research capacities by encouraging the adoption of advanced methodological tools in intercultural research. In this context, the program emphasizes academic mobility as a transformative experience. Through this experience, students can engage with diverse educational systems and cultural contexts and enhance their adaptability, independence, and global outlook.

More broadly, this Double Degree initiative represents an important step in advancing the internationalization of higher education. It reinforces a shared commitment to academic excellence and sustained international collaboration, and opens up expanded opportunities for student mobility, joint research, and the development of cross-cultural and professional competencies.

Program Structure

This double degree program allows selected students to obtain:

  • A Research Master’s degree in Cross-Cultural Communication and Visual Media (FLHS-UCD, Morocco), and
  • A Master’s degree in Intercultural Studies for Business (ISCAP – P. Porto, Portugal)

Selected students will complete their second year as follows:

  • Semester 3: Attendance of mandatory courses at ISCAP.
  • Semester 4: Master’s thesis at ISCAP or remotely from Morocco.

Financial Support

  • Selected students will benefit from an Erasmus+ mobility grant for 4 months, which will contribute to living expenses during their stay in Porto.
  • Students who choose to stay for the full year may need to self-finance the remaining period beyond the Erasmus funding.

Available Positions

  • Two (2) students will be selected for this program.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Have successfully completed the first year.
  • Demonstrate strong academic performance.
  • Meet language requirements:
    • English: B2/C1
    • French: B1/B2
  • Show motivation for international academic experience and intercultural engagement.

  • Motivation letter
  • Copy of passport
  • Any supporting documents (e.g., language certificates)

Selection Process

Applications will be reviewed by a selection committee. Pre-selected candidates may be invited for an interview before final nomination and validation by the partner institution.

Applications must be submitted to the Master’s Office (CED) at the Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences of El Jadida.
