The youth organization “Ligzda” in Ēvele, Latvia, offers a unique volunteer opportunity to work with children and young people in day camps and exciting outdoor activities including camping, tracking, and workshops.

Activity Duration
From June 26, 2026 to August 14, 2026
Program Description
Volunteers will work on:
- Planning group activities for camp participants
- Participating in group workshops to prepare the camp program and responsibilities
- Spending 5 active weeks in camping
- Final evaluation and learning about Latvia’s country and culture
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (weekends are free)
Volunteers Needed
Number: 12 volunteers
Age Range: 18 to 30 years old
Required Qualifications
We are looking for volunteers with:
- A positive attitude and ability to be youth leaders
- Ability to lead non-formal learning activities
- Love for sports, art, music, outdoor activities, digital activities, environment, languages
- Previous experience in camp activities (added advantage)
Target Group: Children and young people aged 7-14 years
Accommodation and Benefits
Housing
- Shared rooms for 3-4 people in a beautiful rural area
- Location: Ēveles School (Ēveles skola)
Food
- 6 euros per day
- Volunteers cook their own food in the school kitchen or food will be provided by the team
Financial Compensation
- 5 euros per day
- Total for two months: 250 euros
Travel Costs
Travel costs are covered for all participants according to the European distance calculator
Training
Two-day training on:
- Camp structure
- Teamwork
