What is the Tomorrow’s Leaders Program?
The Tomorrow’s Leaders Program is sponsored by the U.S.-Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI), part of the U.S. Department of State, and managed by FHI 360. It aims to support high-achieving students and help them develop academic, practical, and leadership skills so they can contribute to their communities.
Since 2006, the program has worked with universities in the region that follow the American model of education. The official website says that its alumni network includes more than 1,900 graduates working across the Middle East and North Africa. Learn more about the program on its official website.
Where do students study?
Program participants study at one of two partner universities:
- American University of Beirut (AUB)
- Lebanese American University (LAU)
Applicants may indicate their preferred university, but final placement depends on university admission requirements and the review of each applicant’s file. Available majors differ between the two universities, so check the official list of study programs before selecting a major. Medicine is not among the available fields of study, according to the program’s FAQ.
